"A Woman's Place Is In The Kitchen" Is A European Proverb - Seun Kuti

Afro Pop legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti son, Seun Kuti, has come on air to clear a proverb that we have been ignorant about.
In a video trending on twitter the Afro pop singer was seen making corrections to some age long believe that we Africans have seen as normal.
According to him, he said;

“A woman’s place is in the kitchen” that is a europian proverb, no African language has the equivalent.

If you recall, President Buhari once use that statement;

“I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but my wife belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room”.

Now so many people has in time past seen this statement as an African proverb, but we don’t have any historical backup. According to Seun, the western word has made us to believe anything giving to us and see it as being the right way.

In the video also talked about, how the Europeans thought us how to carry out jungle justice, as it was not part of African believes.
